UHaul wheel replacements

Sorry if this has already been covered. I was looking and couldn't find a concise thread on a spare replacement wheel.
I found this-

Chevy Pattern
5 on 4-3/4 5 x 120.65mm
Buick - Regal, Century, Special (most mid-size) '64-'80's

Chevrolet - all (exc as noted elsewhere) '49-'89
Corvette all
Corvair '65-'69 5-bolt
GM compact and midsize

Oldsmobile - 442, Cutlass, F-85, Toronado
(most mid-size) '60's-'80's

Pontiac - GTO, LeMans, Firebird, Grand Prix
(mid size) '64-'80's

I don't know about the offset but figured this is a good start.

The correct wheels are available from Uhaul, they sell them in their eBay store. Sometimes out of stock, but they will put up more eventually. Offset is different than anything else.

Mary and Bob, is that to say I can still buy a new wheel from Uhaul? If so, that's cool!
If not, it would be cool to roll some old Chevy wheels, especially if you have an old Chevy to pull it with!

Yes you can buy a new wheel from Uhaul, but it's on their eBay store. Possibly a big Uhaul service center would sell you one. A Chevy wheel would have the wrong offset and may cause tire rub issues

I learnt two things today. I didn't know UHAUL had an Ebay store, didn't know they sold the wheels and didn't know about the offset. (Math is not my strong point&#129300.
Thanks!

Mike,
I'm a little hesitant to jump in here, re wheels. No expert. But the U-Haul hubs are sometimes replaced with Chevy hubs--either because the original hub went bad [I understand this is rare], or because the PO wanted other options in wheels.
So if you still have 4-bolt wheels, they're likely U-Haul, since the bolt pattern's an odd one.
If they're 5-bolt wheels, the hubs may have been changed out for [from my notes some time ago] "front hub on Late 90's / early 2000's Camaro and Firebird". Seems like there was some Lumina part cross-over as well????? Pretty sure you'd be able to search and find info on this possibility on the U-Haul Facebook page, if not here. [I think Andrew Crevena(?) did this on his U-Haul]
Hopefully I haven't muddied the waters too much here...........
Gary

Part of your info is incorrect Gary, the original Uhaul wheels are 5 bolt, but on a 4 3/4 circle as opposed to most trailer wheels being a 4 1/2 bolt circle. The sealed hubs are attached by 4 bolts to the axle. Yes it is possible to substitute a different GM hub to get the 4 1/2 pattern, but the Uhaul wheel has a unique offset (actually zero offset I believe) so a different wheel could cause clearance issues. I know Andrew made a change to custom wheels but don't recall just how. I kept ours simple with some easy mods preferring using the time to go camping.

Thanks, Bob for adding the additional info. I'm getting to where I trust my memory less & less, so it's good to have back-up.

My hubs roll very smooth so I'll keep them. Someone said they just carry another tire with them. I'm capable of changing tires in a pinch and that also appeals to me in weight savings.
Right now, I'm pulling with a 2.3L Ranger 4 cylinder. 1,300 lbs is its limit.
It is good to know there are options, though!

you can go to:
https://www.uhaul.com/TruckSales/Truck-Trailer-Parts/
and find the nearest Uhaul Parts store near you and wheel #23516006, it's white. I just paid $70.00 each and picked up the 2 they had in stock. The parts guy I spoke to said they could order more if needed, this is their most common 13" they use.

13" white wheels

I just called my local large Uhaul location and they cannot order these. I spoke to Kelly at the corporate office (1-800 number) and she said they no longer sell these. Does anyone have a direct contact at Uhaul that they recently purchased these? I recently bought an '85 CT and looking to fix her up

Much appreciated!

This is the number of the Uhaul Truck and Trailer Parts location I went to in Sacramento, CA, (916) 635-8292. The parts guy said that this is the same 13" rim they use on most of their trailer, and while I did get the last 2 they had, they could always order more. The box it came in was from US Wheel corp in Huntington Beach, CA part# 23516006, but it's not listed on their website.

Please be aware that, while the new rims fit the Uhaul, they are not the same as the old, so if you think you can add the very rare original Uhaul hubcaps to the new rims, that is not possible. I speak from experience. We bought the new rims for our VT and then could not use the Uhaul hubcaps that we had. If that is not an issue for you, then it is not an issue. We just used chrome hubcaps to make them look spiffy.

Our Uhaul dealer ordered them for us.

I think it also pertains to other hubcaps too though, like the babymoons.

Hubcaps

Thanks for the info Cindy, I have the original Uhaul hubcaps and am planning to clean them up and put them back on. Maybe I can use the original wheels and just get new tires mounted on them..

Get the original wheels sandblasted and paint them.
