Uhaul Windows, one done... ouf!!!

Hello,

I have replace every seal on one of the side of the window and what a job. I tought I would do every window in one day. Saturday, did only one and work realy hard to set it back in place. Lot of time, energy, soaping and few swear... and it is in.

If anybody have any tip on how to put it back in place, it would be really approciated.

I am also looking for one seal that I need to find. It as shrunked for over exposing in the sun. See pic attached (thanks to Bidget T for the picture)

Thanks

Fred

Hi Fred, No but I did buy my molding from these folks.

Interstate RV Metal & Supply

I see they also carry 109-376. You might give them a call and have them mail you a sample piece. The lady is very nice to deal with. Keith

Keith,

Thanks a lot. I did call them and they are sending me a sample. I will give a update for those who owned a Uhaul as soon as I get the sample.

Thanks, please post. I don't think there has been a source positively identified for this part.

Will keep you update as soon as I get rhe sample.

Do you have any extra hont to fit the window back in place? It was, for us, really hard to get it back in with the news rubber seal and to fill in rubber lock.

Thanks

I posted links for the rubber and felt. I searched briefly earlier but had no luck finding the post. Search for me; you might find it. I even checked the srouces before I posed.

Did you see the tool that I made to assist with inserting the locking strip? It is posted at the end of the side window how to.
