Under our stove we have two pull out drawers for canned goods, basically a little pantry. It allows Ginny to see all the canned goods without wondering what's on the back of a shelve. These drawers are capable of storing 20-or so cans. This compartment has a front door.
Below the canned goods drawers we have a plastic container that holds root vegetables. There's also room beside the container for a bottle of maple syrup.
Beside our little pantry at floor level is our
propane heater. Above the heater is a
fiberglass lined, gel coated surfaced, compartment with a door. We use this for bread and baked items. The rear top part of this compartment contain 8-4oz. mylar packets of smoked salmon. Though we have a small
fridge we carry an ample supply of salmon. It keeps for years and requires no refrigeration.
We have subdivided most of our storage areas to give everything a place.
