Under Stove storage

Under our stove we have two pull out drawers for canned goods, basically a little pantry. It allows Ginny to see all the canned goods without wondering what's on the back of a shelve. These drawers are capable of storing 20-or so cans. This compartment has a front door.

Below the canned goods drawers we have a plastic container that holds root vegetables. There's also room beside the container for a bottle of maple syrup.

Beside our little pantry at floor level is our propane heater. Above the heater is a fiberglass lined, gel coated surfaced, compartment with a door. We use this for bread and baked items. The rear top part of this compartment contain 8-4oz. mylar packets of smoked salmon. Though we have a small fridge we carry an ample supply of salmon. It keeps for years and requires no refrigeration.

We have subdivided most of our storage areas to give everything a place.

Preparing a 1991 Scamp 16

Post 53 shows the pantry. It consists of 4 plastic trays screwed to piece of 1/4 inch plywood. The slide on two wooden rails screwed to the walls of the sides of the opening. They do not fall out when pulled forward. I could get more pictures at a later date if you want. If you look thru this thread you'll see probably 30-50 plastic Walmart boxes in our trailer.

All our original cabinet doors have been replaced with birch-faced doors.

As well as all our added cabinets, added drawers and added shelves we also have 5 under trailer boxes.

Thanks for the kind words.

Lots of mods on the Casita forum that address this issue and the measurements etc would be Casita specific

There are several ideas here (on Casita Club):
Shelf Under The Galley Sink - Casita Trailer Modifications Forum - The Casita Club Forums

We had a Freedom for 8 years - loved that little trailer.

Under sink shelf

Pretty easy mod. Hardware required = shelving and one hose clamp. Photo attached. 2002 SD Not as crooked as the photo makes it appear
