Upgrading to two stage propane gas regulator

First time propane refill and bad luck: gas siphoning from that bronze part on bottom (G800 LP Gas Marshall Gas Regulator). Looks like it is old way of two stage regulator. composing bronze one and standard one stage on top (see picture). So now I have decided to purchase new modern two stage regulator instead. Can I throw away that bronze one or I have to add it on bottom of my new two stage as well?

When it comes to Gas, I go and ask a professional Gas person.

In the lower provinces a 2 stage regulator connects directly to the LP lines and then to the appliances, but you may have different requirements in Canada.

As Darwin suggested, check with a local LP or RV service person.

As you can see on picture above my OUT end of regulator is on top. All two stage regulators I can find so far have the Opening outlet located either on OUT side or for horizontal orientation. The regulators sat that the opening should be oriented vertically down. How critical is this requirement?

As you can see on picture above my OUT end of regulator is _on top_. All two stage regulators I can find so far have the Opening outlet located either toward OUT side or for horizontal orientation. The instructions state that the opening should be oriented _vertically down_ which is impossible in my case. How critical is this requirement?

Most often you do not get a second chance with Gas that is why you must be absolutely and positively sure your gas equipment and installation is correct. Please go and see a gas expert.
