US Customs contact

I bought a 1978 Trillium 4500 from party in Texas.They had brought it from Canada years back to US.They gave me Canada registration,vehicle ID certificate from Saskatchewan dated 6/9/1997 and Bill Of Sale dated 8/7/2013.I took this to my County Court to be registered and pay taxes.

I was ask if I had paper work from US Customs and would need it to get
camper registered.Previous owner did not seem to know what I was talking about.I understand 80yo not understanding for what ever reason.

Now my question is there anyone who has had this problem and what you did.
Anyone have suggestion?
Anyone with US Customs that can help?
My trailer and can't register it

Here in VA you can post an add in the newspaper of an abandon vehicle on your property and after a length of time you can get a title.

Thanks to all of you who responded.I had been told to contact Raya by Roy and tried but her mail box was full.
Had a possible buyer so stop trying to get title.Buyer no longer interested.Now I'm back on trail.I live near DFW airport so I will try that.

If the previous U.S. owner had it for so long, surely he titled and tagged it in his state, didn't he? Or did it just sit in a parking spot the entire time? If it was titled and tagged, then you should be able to piggyback on that registration. It would show chain of ownership and the fact that the trailer had been in the U.S. for many years already. Not sure why they would demand customs documents 16 years after import!

BTW, Raya has not been active on FGRV for a couple of years now.

Actually, I suggested you search her posts. When you asked the same question again, I gave you the link. Seems to me you only want this to flip the trailer.
