I have my gaucho bed in the Campster set up as a three-quarter bed (sideways) for me plus two 24 inch long seats (one on either side.) I don't take it down (major headache to remove everything especially as I put two plywood boards under the foam to strengthen and level the bed.

So vacuuming under the bed presents an issue, which I solved very neatly.

That's my Roomba vacuum cleaner. It isn't going to get the embedded mud (that will take carpet cleaning the next time I have my steam cleaner out.) But it is good on dog hair and better yet, goes all the way back under the bed (where sometimes dogs sleep) to pick it up.

that would be fun with a cat in the trailer.

The best thing about it is that the dogs totally ignore it except to get out of its way.

There was one thing that could have happened (but didn't) since I have the cheapy model Roomba that doesn't return to its charging base when done. It could have run out of charge way back under the bed and I'd have had to crawl under after it. I gambled and won. (It was about a foot under when it stopped.) If you have the "docking station" you could plug that in and the Roomba would return to it when it finished vacuuming.

I'm thinking of switching to a hard floor with a throw rug this summer, though. The Roomba still does a good job on hard floors, and it seems like it would be easier to keep clean. I did not tack the carpet down, so I can pull it out and steam-clean it, but it will be a pain to do that. The other option would be just to throw a throw rug over the exposed part of the carpet (probably a good idea) and then throw that in the wash after a muddy trip.
