Veneer cabinet upgrade?

Does anyone know anything about this product? TAPE-EASE PRODUCTS PAGE Is this used to overlay existing cabinets? Is it worth the time? How hard is it to apply and does it last?

I have a 84 fiberstream and would like to update the cabinets.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

This product: SPECIE PICTURES
Looks like sheets of veneer wood that can be glued on top on existing cabinetry.

You certainly can reskin a door, but have you considered paint? Or wallpaper? (I'm cheap).

Veneer has its place but also has potential problems. For one thing it is usually about as thick as a sheet of paper. If you get the paper backed type you have to glue it on with out getting glue on the surface and messing up the finish, if you get the PSA type or that with a peel and stick backing you have to be very careful to . have a clean and uncontaminated surface to stick it onto or it will unstick-which is not an uncommon problem and it generally it does not do well going around tight radius corners. As Donna says it would probably work well for refacing doors but I would be hesitant to use it to reface cabinets or to cover fiberglass fixtures. Just my 2 cents worth as a cabinet maker.

Cyndi,

I am about to make new cabinet doors for our Casita. There are lots of options, but Reid is right, veneer over the flimsy stuff they have put on our trailers has some risks. Paint is an option, but like Reid, I am a cabinet maker, and plan to make me some new doors.

If you are at the Mid-Atlantic rally maybe we can talk, There are a couple ways to make the doors that will not require a shop full of tools that I can talk to you about
