Roy, KC, Joe, Jim: all very helpful! Your hints all led to fruitful searches! I'm narrowing it down! Of course, Jim's offer is hard to beat! I'll have to go measure the opening and see...

Thanks everyone! Things are moving along!

Now, if I can only get the seals I need for the windows... Two of them are back order and another one is impossible to find. Might have to start another thread!

Vintage Trailer Supply also has one that is 8-3/8" high x 21-7/8" wide.

Confession

Guys,

I realized this morning that the 18" measure was the right one but the 22" was wrong... Sooooooo, my vent is 8 X 18". I feel REALLY bad because you took the time to think, search and answer. Please forgive me. I don't even have a clue where that (wrong!) 22" comes from.

However, with the hints you gave me, I should be able to find what I need. Imperial Group does have a few models of 8 X 18" vents, plastic and metal. Even tough they're designed for inside use, I'm sure there's something to be done with that, like Roy wrote.

Again, sorry, sorry, sorry.

Have you tried a custom car shop. I have seem vents done on car engine hoods. Seems that they could make you any size vent you want. Good Luck

Now that my trailer is back out of storage, I measured mine (the RG05969). The outside dimensions are 9.25" x 9.25".
