We live in Alberta and it gets up to -40C. We will probably not have inside storage, so the trailer will live under a tarp for the winter.
First projects will be
painting the panels, replacing the cabinet doors, and replacing the floor. We would just like to avoid materials that are known to not take the cold well and become brittle or peel.
Painting: is it ok to use water based primer + latex
paint?
Replacing cabinet doors: we were thinking of multi- layeren plywood with a Formica laminate. Will laminate and contact cement be able to stand the cold?
Flooring: we'll either use vinyl or commercial grade laminate. Are we running the risk of the floor expanding/contracting and forming cracks? Any glues we should not use?
Thanks!
