As we were driving our 1986 Bigfoot
17.5 down the road on the first day of our summer adventures, we saw something flapping around in the breeze on our trailer and pulled over as soon as we could (which was still 10 miles or so before we found an exit). The brown vinyl stripping between the two clamshells had come loose, and by the time we stopped the whole front of the trailer was bare and it was hanging on by a thread on the side. In order not to lose it, I took off the remaining vinyl and put it in the Toad.
Do you know where you can buy replacement vinyl stripping for a 17.5 Bigfoot
(1986)? Should I just try to glue the old striiping back on? (It seems to have shrunk in width). The rivets in the front of the trailer are looking kind of rusty and ugly now that we can finally see them. Do people replace those as well?
