Well, Flygal, good advise again. I was thinking about the tarp and tape temp fix...I am not going to cry about the caulk. The center where it was leaking looked as though it may have been "touched up" previously. At least it most likely won't leak for the rest of the rainy season. My husband gave me the big, sigh. Maybe he will be motivated to help me now! Patience is good advise! And I will look for an RV supply store near me. Thanks.

If it makes you feel better my hubby didn't quite understand the diamond in the rough that I brought home 3 years ago. But when all was said and done and we were camping and DRY and people come and owww and awwww where ever you may be he learned the awesomeness of my trailer . I have chased my fair share of leaks not every trailer is as prone it seems as mine to this but come on my trailer is 32. Put down the sloppy silicone gun and have a cup of coffee and enjoy your trailer.

Judy if you open up all the hatches up and put a small electric heater in the trailer the rat fur will dry out pretty fast. If you think that some water may still be trapped between the wall and rat fur you can pull the rat fur away from the wall inside the hatches and pull the carpet up from the hatch floors to let it dry out and then use a 3m spray adhesive to reattach the fur to the wall once its all dried out.

Thanks Carol. I actually pulled the carpet out of the hatches as soon as I realized it was wet. I threw the carpet out. Good idea about pulling the wall covering away from the wall in the compartments to let it dry out. It's pouring here today so I will have the opportunity to see if my (hack) caulking is doing any good. I wish I had thought of the tarp and tape yesterday while it was dry out. I figure once the weather warms up, which it will, the trailer will dry out.

Thanks!
