Water Heater Flame Won't Burn Blue

Took the Scamp out for the first time since returning from North Dakota boondocking. Stove top lit fine, had a little trouble with the frig, could not get the water heater flame to burn clean. Used everything in ND just before we moved back.

Cyndi thats an indication that the burner tube may have an obstruction of some type - could be something as simple as a spider web in it. There is a manual for the Attwood heaters in the Document center here and it has instructions for cleaning out the tube, Its pretty easy - I had to do the one on my water heater once.

Send a message via Yahoo to Darwin Maring
Use an air compressor to Blow out the burner tube or use a Pipe Cleaner (The kind of pipe people smoke) to clean it out.

Then if it still does the same thing, adjust the air regulator on the end of the tube where the gas enters.

We will try this. It has been a good year for spiders in Iowa due to the dry weather. Thanks!!!
