We are new to Scamping. We purchased a 1994 Scamp with an Atwood "jade" control hot water heater. We think we are following the instructions correctly, but the pilot doesn't seem to be lighting. Can anyone give us step by step instructions so that we can be sure it isn't just us not getting it right?

Thanks so much!

Scratch this Q - we called Scamp. Apparently you have to wait awhile to get the propane flowing through the trailer. We did get it and the fridge to light. WHEW

When i have propane turned off for any lenght of time and I want to turn something on I always turn on stove first and light it.I find it bleeds the lines of air and gets propane moving faster. At least thats my theory.

Nah, even though you got the answer yourself...it will be good for the archives in case someone else has the problem and uses "search" to find an answer.

Glad it worked out and was an easy "fix."
