Today I found a partial piece of what looks like a commode wax ring. It had apparently softened (S.GA heat) and fallen directly under the black water
drain on the concrete below the drain.
On inspection underneath, I found some of the waxy material seemingly packed around the black drain as it exits through the flooring plywood.
What is it ? What does it do ? Does it need to be replaced or can I caulk around the black water pipe to protect the hole through the flooring from outside water entering the unit ?
Scamp places a wax ring under their blackwater tank and the bath floor for a seal it is around the blackwater 3" pipe. No big deal, If the seal is bad when you shower water will come out around the black 3" pipe. Just clean up the mess.
