WDH Question Part 2

Hey All,
I thank you for all your responses. You have convinced me to continue to use a weight distribution hitch with the Silverado. My next question is. can I use the one I have, which was set up for my RAV4 or do I need a new one. The Casita is in storage and I don’t remember the brand of the WDH offhand. It was purchased from Casita when I picked up the trailer.

Most RV stores sell two WDH sizes based largely on the trailer size.
You probably have the right one (unless its overkill)

Your WDH is likely sized correctly and can be adjusted to tow and trailer.

If your wdh has a rise or drop built into it and it is not adjustable it will work if the old receiver and the new are the same height or close. I have had one which was adjustable and several others which were not.

I've used mine with several trailers. As long as the weight capacity is sufficient and they fit height wise you should be good.
