what are the tabs for?

Under the table side of the benches are tabs about an inch from the floor. What are they for? there are not wood strips on the floor they hold to....

photos would help. It might be a modification by an owner, or it could be factory installed.

Do you have a water tank? Is it possible these are for fastening the water tank?

Ok here are a few shots, taken from above the benches... One picture shows the front of the bench and it appears to be damage at the tabbed area. The tabs are under both benches...

Not sure about the tabs, unless they were originally attachment points for the front of the bench, but you have certainly done some very nice work so far!! looking forward to seeing the finished project!

While not having a clue as to how Scamps may be assembled and going by the pictures provided, it looks to me that those tabs might be used to keep the walls of your cubbys upright?? The cubbys look as if they are totally seperate from the main body shell. (? ? ?)
