What are these?

There are 4 eyebolts the previous owner installed and I have no idea what for. They go all the way thru, they are sealed and don't cause leaks just don't know what they might have been for. Anyone have a suggestion? Also this may be the ID plate from the chasis - would this have been for a Hunter Compact?

They are for hanging things up. (I'm such a big help, aren't I?)

what for?

When we got it there was no a/c - the front window doesn't open so I don't think putting an a/c is the reason - the eyebolts are nicely spaced across the front. if I was going to hang something from them I would have put them further away from the from wall. But hanging something is my only idea but I can't imagine how.

Thanks, I like the vinayl too. I don't really like the rug covering on the Casitas. This is in good shape except one small tear behind the seat cushion. I have it glued to stabliize it. I had thought I would use some of the liner we had left over when we had to a/c put in but I think that would just be worse. What do you want to see? It is set up like twin beds as the table is mounted - it is spring hinged to raise up. I used nylon sleeping bags for cushioning but when I turned over I fell off the slippery bedding. I had to laugh at that hack. I need thicker foam and may be a little wider bed. We like the twins for getting up so I might slide an extension under the cushions.

Ask the previous owner about the purpose of the eye bolts

If there are 4 eye bolts, perhaps that is where they hung a shower curtain for a make shift shower with a portable tub for a water catch, then a 12 volt pump to pump the water out.

Perhaps for hanging a more effective "blackout" curtain for a darker sleeping environment? Draw cords for hanging wash cloths and towels for drying? Drilling holes through the shell seems like a drastic mod for either of those guesses, but something must have been pretty important to the owner who did that.

My first thought was it could be a means to hang a child-sized cot or hammock. My VW Westy had that capability over the front seats. It's hard to tell from the photos, but maybe the eye bolts aren't positioned for that.

Maybe that close to the wall not for something window related but on the theory that the bolts could take some more weight there? Hanging storage of some kind?

When traveling we leave bed set up using the 28" wide, 4" thick folding mattresses from Costco. They leave about a 5" gap in the area left open by our table. Since there is no support under that section of mattress we havery no problem getting up or down. We've been sleeping this way for the past 15 years. It's comfortable and we don't notice the lack of support. It's not pretty, but it is very servicible.
