Terry, I'm trying to picture your set up.
We use the length for the bed so we don't have to crawl over. It sound like you also have yours set up length wise also.
I don't know about a 28" folding mattress at costco. do they still sell them? My cushions are only 24" wide with walk way space of 25". I have a lip to rest a support on but the table is permanently mounted. I was thinking using a long piece of 1/4" or less to slide under the cushions that would extend the width of the bed 5" or 6 " or more. i would probably need a mattress or foam to replace the seat width cushions. Any pix of your interior - I will not judge - grin.

Bondage sounds more fun, my guess is a flat screen TV.

Sorry, right now I'm out of state without my camper. They were still selling them recently. We also sleep lengthwise. They are now sold at several retailers in an assortment of widths. They are about 2" to long, but being foam they will fit down in to place. I've said for years that I was going to en one up and take 2" off the length. My wife uses 2. 1 is enough for me.
Getting ready to replace the frame. it cracked at the front. l did a quick repair. I may rework the interior at the same time.
