What makes it a Four Season Trailer?

Any manufacturer could claim four season capability by just stating that their trailer qualifies. Has any one of them ever done any studies to prove their claims. In the opinion of our members, would you guys weigh in on what you think it would take for a trailer be considered truly Four Season.

I'll start with what I believe most of us could agree on...

1. Dual Pane Windows all around
2. Heated, enclosed holding tanks and plumbing
3. Fully enclosed water lines

Four season? Donno. I have a 2014 Escape build. So far in the Pacific Northwest.. I'm happy. No condensation on the windows, water flows both ways, I'm warm and dry inside. But it's NOT zero degrees (or less) here either...

What exactly do folks expect from something "four season" in an all-molded towable anyway? I own a TRAILER which I expect to be DIFFERENT from my sticks 'n bricks home.

We live in an area where temps go from -30 to -40 below F in the winter to 100 deg F in the summer. Building a true four season trailer that is capable of taking our temperature extremes would be very expensive, heavy and impractical . All we need is a trailer that works for our camping season . A four season trailer to me is more for the individual that lives in a moderate climate and desires to use it year round. Even your Oliver is not designed for the extreme cold of Canada and the Northern tier states.

R-8 or better insulation all around.

Four-Season ? - Any such FGTT definitely requires a wall mounted snow-shovel - and should be stocked with a quart/litre of Captain Morgan. Also, a hole in the floor would provide better access down to the ice - but, large enough (suggest min. 25 cm.) for an Ontario lake trout. - LOL

Of course 'snap-on' wheel skis, and a 6X6 Polaris TV are useful options.

Four season reference really means it will stand up to winter. Those attributes also make it perform in the summer.

At a minimum:

Dual pane windows
Robust insulation
All body openings sealed. All doors insulated.
Heated tanks (12v heat pads)
Enclosed, insulated and heat ducted to underbelly to protect tanks and plumbing
Oversized furnace
Secondary heater - like heat strip in the AC unit
Protected water fill
Protected sewer discharge and valves.
