What Model is my 1975 Trillium

I'm new... lol
I keep seeing people toss around model numbers like 1300 and 4500. I have no idea what model my 1975 Trilly is. Help!

Hi Lyndsay, welcome to the site.

The 1300 is a 13' model, and the 4500 is a 15' model. These lengths include the hitch to bumper length.

I have a 1300 in my garage getting rebuilt right now.

Do you have any photos of it?

David Tilston is keeping a registry of all the serial numbers and models, and could likely tell you in a heartbeat if you could supply the serial number.

Since it is a 1975, it is a 1300, (13'). The 4500, (4500mm) was not made till 1977? Possibly 1976.
The best way to tell is the 4500's have the furnace vent beside the door. Even if a 4500 doesn't have a furnace, there is a flat square, below the belly band, between the wheel and the door.

For pictures, you can see a list of 4500's here:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post483605

And 1300's here:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post483603

Just click on the link in the serial numbers for pictures, if available.

Also, you can find a description of the differences in the two models here:
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...0-a-64417.html

On edit:
Just saw your pictures. Definitely a 1300. I have seen this trailer:

What happened to the front window rock guard? Also, that metal bar under the front window makes me wonder if the inside frame has rotted.

Hrm that's interesting. I don't have all the paper work with me or the serial number at the moment (where would I find it) but the registration said 15' and year as 1975. Will have to measure her when I get her home tomorrow evening.

Lyndsay, in my '76 1300, the SN is on the inside of the closet door.

Just saw your questions at the end here Dave. The rock guard was blown off in some wind, we have it and will fill the existing holes and then reattach it. It's not the original guard, though most likely the original frame. They have painted/blacked out plexiglass panels. Thinking I may remove the paint and use limo tint or something eels and then paint the trillium flower on it.
As for the metal bar, I have no clue why it's there. And now I'm afraid to look! There's no evidence of leakage around the window and the ensolite looks decent so I am reluctant to peel it back. Anything else I could do to find out?

I would just leave it till there is a problem.

The material that the rock guard was made of originally is called Filon. Fiber and nylon resin. I have a rather large sheet of flat Filon. I you want to use that for your rock guard.

The corner that has your serial number is ripped off. The serial number should be on your registration as well. It will look like this:
13-120xxxx

Where the xxxx is the sequential number of production.

Look...............

there is a plate just above the electric plug hide-away to the left of the door. Number should be right there.

I just looked again.....

and discovered my "plate" is actually a sticker. This may be where they put all of them in those years (mine is a '72). Even though it is glued on it is thick enough that the numbers are stamped in. Mine seems to be one larger sticker where looking at your pics you may have two smaller stickers.
