I'm getting ready to get ready to paint the Boler. What's this plaque? I suppose in 1979 it said something important? Note the nice even rivet job?

So mine would say; Boler Edmonton?
Yes it's expendable Fred but I was curious about what it's purpose was. If the holes weren't drilled so crooked I would do something fun with it but the holes bug me.
Eric just said "It should say Boler Lakewood".

It's the peranglesnork.
Do not remove it. It is a very important safety apparatus.
I can't tell you what for, (If I did I would have to shoot you) but just don't remove it, or you'll be really sorry.

Trailer: Boler (B1700RGH) 1979

Here's my badge, on my 1979 B1700RGH built by Vanguard Trailers in Winfield, B.C.:
It is one of the rare references to Neonex on the trailer and it's documentation, and the only rendition of that logo which is more permanent than the side decals, but it doesn't provide the actual manufacturing company name (Neonex's Vanguard operation), or the plant location.
Mine is moulded in plastic so the text and graphic appear in relief - this will never fade away to a blank. I just noticed that it is held on by no less than three rivets; obviously, someone in Winfield thought that this was a critical component!
Someone I met years ago ran a sign shop, and had the facilities to make plastic badges like the ones used on cars. He made a custom badge for his Plymouth Volare in the same script style, but showing his name instead. Since the original information is gone, I think Pete is on the right track - how about a custom owner's plaque instead?
By the way, my Boler is not orange: the plaque is just mounted on the stripe above the belly joint.
And did everyone notice, at the bottom of Lizbeth's photo, the round ghosts of the stickers which are the subject of Kevin's topic, Is there Any Value in the CSA stickers?

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

I was going to mention that. I removed mine with a razor blade, it's so nice and shiny where the stickers protected the gel coat. I guess I'm in big trouble now.
The picture also shows some of the epoxied in holes from door hasp someone had installed several times up and down the door.

Kevin, there wasn't much left of mine to leave original. So I feel safe having removed the stickers. I'm sure it didn't decrease the value because according to the insurance company it had none.

I just got back from the local Trophy/Awards shop. They are engraving a plaque to fit in the space in your photo. I chickened out on the "WIPE YOUR FEET". I opted for boler/VOYAGEUR as close to origonal as poss. Cost $8.00 Canadian + taxes. Regards Alf S. (North shore of Lake Erie)
