Where to find replacement trim around storage under seats

Hi, glad to be part of your community.

Brand new to trailer life.

Just got 78 13' Trillium.

The plastic trim around the 4 covers of the storage bins located under the table seats and front bunk seat are dry, brittle and broken.

Anyone know were I can find replacement trim?

Is there an aluminum trim on the market?

Thanks.

When I did some modifications to my Trillium this year, I used plastic trim for wall board panelling available at Home Depot, Totem, or Home Hardware (and probably Rona and many other places as well). It is used for edging, corners and covering up edges on wallboard for home panelling, and they make 5 or more different styles for different purposes. It is in the range of $4 for an 8 foot section. It comes in polar white, but you can paint it with Tremclad “RV White” paint to get the creamy colour if you want. It is not very flexible, but could probably be heated in almost-boiling water to make it go around curves.

Good luck.

You may also want to try auto parts store for the door trim, they come in colors

We have a Bigfoot trailer. I chipped off- removed the plastic T-molding and replaced it with a birch iron on laminate that has a strong adhesive on one side. We purchased from Home Depot, lumber department. Then I smoothed down the top and bottom edges, stained it to match the interior wood paneling and then a couple of coats of clear. It was a pretty easy job and looks a lot better than the old busted up plastic trim.

Wish I could do this here. Gets to -30C in the heat of winter

But, what I'm looking for is not the T-molding but the seal around lids for the storage bins under the seats.

Suzanne, any chance to post a clear picture of what you're looking for? Perhaps several different items are available at different places. But until I know what it looks like.. I can't help....

Here is a link to a picture of the trim around the lids for the front storage areas under the single bed.

I could not include an image in the post. It only works on a new tread or post (as mentioned in FAQ).

That looks like plain vinyl trim available @ Lowes or Home Depot, trim with scissors. I'd do a little better with the corner laps joints, cut @ 45 would look neater.
