Which canopy ?

Been looking for a free standing canopy for our Hunter 1.
So far the E-Z Up Dome II is in the lead......
Mostly because of material and adjustable height......
Any pros.....cons......other recommendations...?
Thanx for any

consider swiss gear, we got one for our daughter a few years ago from Amazon, it has worked out very good. We have an old First Up from Walmart, water pools up on it and bent the frame.

I can't offer an opinion about the E-Z Up Dome II, but the E-Z Up I have... isn't nor is it light.. if you're concerned about weight.

At a couple of the gatherings, several molded owners are using Paha Que's pretty cool looking, fairly easy to setup and light! Paha Que Cottonwood 12x12 Shade Shelter You may find it cheaper elsewhere or Amazon.

we use a swissgear, with insect net and three wind sides. very handy.
as with any, wind can destroy them. carry extra tent pegs and tie down ropes for when its a little too breezy. and when the wind gets strong,,,you should already have it taken down or its too late.

Are any of these easy setup for one person? Which one is the lightest one of all?

I can set mine up alone, doesn't hold rain water, but it needs to be attached.

Carport Deluxe large

http://www.kelty.com/p-511-carport-d...tents-shelters

I got mine at REI last year on sale.

The picture shows it down in tent mode. It comes with poles, which I used in the previous pictures.

Here it is a little cheaper...

http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=CARPORT

They also have another brand for even cheaper. Link is on the same page. Can't verify this company, haven't done business with them, but just found the link doing a search.

I bought a "Shelter Logic" brand from Northern Tools. Have had it 7 years. One person can set it up and take it down but it is not easy. The corner poles and canvas are top notch. It comes with a canvas storage bag with small wheels for easy transport. The 10 x 10 weighs 80lbs.

Last summer it flipped in a severe thunder storm and broke one on the side truss pieces. The storm came up really quickly and I did not have the anchor pegs in the corners posts. Shelter logic sent me a whole new side truss for $20.00 plus shipping. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

Brooke, thanks for the pictures. Have been wondering about that for years. You do have a curb to raise up one side in the picture.

Lil, that is a fantastic price. Wonder why? I have never seen it that inexpensive.

RE: Bus Depot
These folks have been around for a long time and have an excellent reputation amoung VW Bus people. I most recently bought two water heaters from them and service was excellent. I know several mini motorhome owners that use the Bus Depots Ezy Awning. There are a number of options for attaching to a f/g trailer. Here is a link: http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=A7905

I have a Compact jr. that has a roll up awning above the rear door that is the full wdith of the trailer. The support arms attach to the rear bumper and the awning rolls out like a window shade. The Lil Snoozy uses the same type of rear awning. Check out their photo section.

I don't have free standing, use a rope and pole. Cannot find an E-Z up that is really E-Z for one person. I can put up my rope and pole awning in just a few minutes, totally by myself. No fuss, no muss, and it stores very small. The nice thing about a rope and pole is it is customizable as far as fabric, patterns, etc.
