So, I think one more mystery solved for my '77 13'
Scamp
I received my order from
scamp today. Man, they ship orders fast.
I went to line up my wrought iron support that was missing, and it didn't line up. That's when I started looking at things.
Well, after looking over pictures, it seems my lower kitchen cupboards are off about 4" towards the window. It's clearly cut into the window, and overlaps on the bottom where the dinnete should be. Also, I am basing this off the gap at the bunk. I am guessing it's rather flush there.
I compared the window side upper cabinet, and it looks to be in the correct location bests I can tell.
My only guess is, without the dinettte in my camper, they centered the kitchen in the space. Maybe to make room for a bigger bed? I don't know.
So. My question is. What's my watch outs for moving it back?
Obviously a bunch of rivets, and probably a few new holes.
I am a little worried about the heater and the
fridge location.
The
fridge appears perfectly centered from the outside access hole. Not sure if that really matters, or +/- 4" is close enough.
The heater vent is on a slight angle. It's in the middle of the lower cabinet. I need to check the measurements, but it might make sense to locate to the far left as I see so many pictured there.
Just strange..... I want my support beam back, and I want room for the dinette when I find some
fiberglass. Oh well. I at least I like projects
