Window Screens

I have a 13' 1974 Trillium that I purchased this past winter. The screens need to be replaced - can I replace them with a softer, black screen or do I have to go with the original steel type that is currently on there?

Can I purchase the required materials at a Home Depot or do I have to go to a travel trailer outlets?

Thanks.

Yes, and Yes. Well, maybe. If the screens have a rubber piece inside a groove holding the screen to the frame Yes and Yes. You can also get a tool to install the new screen to aid pushing the rubber into the groove. In fact I carry one in trailer tools.

Thank you. I had that tool and for the life of me can't find it...so I will have to purchase another. But then when I find the original tool, I will have one for the house and one for the trailer.

Thanks again!
