Has eneyone used an existing stoneguard as a mold to make a second one? If you have, what difficulties did you have, if any? I've been thinking that it would be nice to have one at the rear as well as at the front. Both to protect the trailer when closed and to act as an awning when open. Sure would help keep the place cool when the sun shines.

James I've seen pictures of folks that have done this. On a Scamp, the back window is a different size than the front..otherwise a Scamp owner (I realize you have a Boler) could order the gravel shield and install. Also the back glass is flat, where the front fiberglass is curved. Have you considered getting a flat piece of fiberglass (used in shower stalls?), cutting it to fit and installing that? You could also buy the black (or other color) trim that has the metal core and rivet that around the outside to finish off the fiberglass rough edges. Just a thought.

Hi,
I have an '83 Scamp 13' and have had a "gravel gaurd" on the rear window for the past 13 years. It actually came from the factory with the hardware mounted over and under the window, but no gaurd, so I purchased one from them. I too use it more to keep the sun out of the camper, and yet, it does work well as an awning while camping. So, if you have an older Boler, the front and back windows (if non-opening) are the same curve and the same size. Hope this helps.

My front guard is moulded and has a raised centre. I'm wondering about the difficulties of making one the same. Now while we'resanding and refinishing the outside I have the guard off and this would be a good time. If i cover it with plasticto act as a release will the glass and renin conform to the shape or leave a gap around the raised edge?
