Last
fall when we winterized the trailer we thought we did everything right. We forgot one tiny step...After putting the pink antifreeze into the system we opened all the faucets (one at a time) and let the pink stuff flow. We made sure it came out of the toilet line, the shower, the sink in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchen...but not the hand held sprayer in the kitchen sink.
Last week I went into the trailer to see how it had weathered the winter and turned on the water pump. Apparently the interior of the trailer had gotten cold enough to freeze the water that was still in the sprayer line. Just that little bit that was in the line from the faucet to the spray head. It had split the sprayer and water went everywhere.
Now, before I can turn the water pump back on to clear all the pink stuff out of the system I have to buy a new sprayer, and maybe a whole new kitchen faucet with sprayer attached.
This is just a heads up to all those with sprayer attachments on their kitchen faucet. (and also just a vehicle for a bit of venting)
