I recently had the silverware drawer out to install a shelf bracket to the right of the stove. The
refrigerator has spun
fiberglass insulation packed around the sides but with the vibration of travel (our
scamp has only about 5000 miles on it thus far) the
fiberglass has settled and I was astonished to see bright daylight streaming into the interior. Although a thin
fiberglass panel was glued to seal the top edge of the
refrigerator from the exterior, there was nothing on the right (as you face the fridge) side. Although it opens into the exterior vent compartment and no critter can get through the vent panels (though I have a few times left the panel off after igniting the
fridge propane) it is an inviting entry for insects.
I'll figure out a way to install something to solve it (though access will be tricky) but curious if anyone else encountered this problem? I'm not sure if is an error in the manufacturing or just the way
Scamp does it. This is a 2014 13' with front couch/bunk.
