12VDC, 19" Flatscreen w/DVD Player <$150

The Haier 19" flatscreen w/built in DVD player is curently being offered on-line at several sites for as little as $135.

Although it is listed as a 120-240 VAC TV, it actually runs on 12 VDC without using the external power supply.

We have a 24", 1080p version of this set, also running on 12 VDC, and are pleased with the quality of image, variety and number of inputs, and ease of set-up & use. Ours pulls less than 3 amps with the DVD player running. Back of set has a standard VESA 4 X 100mm mounting pattern.

Here is a link to the manual:
www.haieramerica.com/downloads/dl/file/.../lec19b1320_manual.pdf

As there are a number of sources, just google: haier lec19b1320
and see who has the best offer including tax and shipping.

Bob, thanks for the info, I can't get the link to work but will try another search. Am I right in understanding that we could use this TV run off of 12 volt system? That would be great! I have wished for a movie on rainy days.

I'll try to fix the link
Yes, it will run off of 12VDC. They don't provide the 12VDC cord, but you can make one or find one at Radio Shack or at a real electronics store. Just be sure the center pin is (+).

Here is another link that was sent to me:

There seems to be a problem with the website. Google "haier LEC19B1320 manual" and there are several other sources shown.
Here is another link, this is to Haier's information page.
Search results for: 'lec19b1320' | Haier America

Hi Ms. Diane,
I think this brand is good but the other two UHauls at the Cherokee rally had the Curtis 19" 720P HDTV DVD (Model: LEDVD1975A) that runs off 12VDC through the adapter, the same as this one. H.H.GREGG has them and I am going to get one! ($129)

Might want to consider an interior antenna (better yet a little satellite dish!) A perfect mount place, and I give all this credit to to George who has a cool '85 modified CT-13, is behind the sink attached to that wall and supported with a piece of marine plywood dropped down from above throught the open cabinent (with insert removed temporarily) Then with the unit mounted to the swivel bracket it can be turned to view up front or from the rear or from both as it is in the middle!

Happy UHaulin!!

"The 19 inch haier tv sound us not good and the cable hook uo on the side of the tv is not good, other wise ok would not buy it again"

Don't know if I would call that a "Bad" review. If one were expecting Bose sound in an inexpensive 19" flat screen all will disappoint. And where the input connection is located is pretty petty. We like ours and didn't have any problems...
