I'm not quite sure why
Scamp Evelands put the so called
escape hatch in the first place. (Might be some kind of RV Safety Code?)1st, the opening is only about 22"x22", a little tight for some folks to wiggle thru. 2nd, it's 6' above floor level and after you've found the cover and screen release trigger in the dark and tried to lift your 200# body up there and wiggle out, the soles of your tooties will be nicely roasted. For me, the easiest way out in any emergency is out the door with a couple of good kicks and shoulder blocks or next best out the front or rear plexiglas
windows. A good push will dislodge the window from the gasket and out you go, so for me I opt for cool fresh air with the fan. Here's a pic of our Scamp behind her 90HP tow vehicle. Enjoy.
