13' Sofa Bed

Has anyone ever replaced the dinette in a 13' Scamp with a sofa bed/jackknife sofa? I NEVER use the dinette. Would rather have a full time bed. But, I would like a place to sit in the evenings. Heck, I could even sleep on the couch. Do it alot at home. Thinking of just using a TV tray table to eat from. If I have company, we usually eat outside.

Where would you move the items that are in the cabinetry in the dinette?

If you look at the Lil Snoozy website pictures, you'll see a jack-knife sofa that has storage & water tank under it, so everything could be moved to a new location.

The sofa bed would probably have to be built in the trailer,,,,,,,,,,,,
Don't see it working in a 13 scamp or boler type trailer.

I have thought about building a slide out Futon like bed in the rear but have never done it. The Squidget homebuilt trailer uses that type of bed. The issues are rounded corners for the back, a way to support the back when in the up position and side slides, but it is a possible project. Attached are some Squidget photos.

Over the years, I've discovered... ANYTHING is possible if you're willing to throw enough time, effort and money at it.

I'd really like to see someone make this modification, because I think there are a number of folks that would benefit seeing pictures, costs, time, etc.
