Wow- what a great job. The exterior reminds me of those bug out back country trailers you see featured on sights like Gizmag. The aluminum frame is the perfect solution for longevity. That little egg is a real head turner !

Criticisms? Are you kidding? That's an awesome reno. Congratulations.
Wish you weren't so far away. I'd love to see it in person.

We'll be state side a lot in the coming years. I have a cousin in texas and we're planning a road trip there within the next year. We're also heading down the west coast to California this summer with it.
Its very doubtful, but who knows, we might just bump into each other.
Thanks for the comments.
Brad.

Brad,
That is an awesome looking trailer! You did a fantastic job. I love the rugged off-road look it has. Bet it looks awesome behind your landrover. Enjoy and nice work.

That's the look I was going for and I think it turned out pretty decent. I wanted offroadish looking without making it look too militaryish. I found a company when I embarked on the project called "Adak" and they make trailers that style and I really like them. I guess the only thing is that is lost that nostalgic look that I also really like. Like that little red beauty you have. You did an amazing job on that one.

Noticed I made a typo in the original post. I said it had a 5 gallon fresh water tank and 5 gallon grey water tank. I meant 50 gallon for each.

I just added a propane quick connect hose this weekend to the outside of the trailer, under the awning area, to connect my coleman gas stove to. Its nice just to be able to plug it in and go.

The 145 Watt solar unit I have is mounted flat to the roof. Does anyone know if this affects performance? Like would I notice a substantial difference if I mocked up a mounting system that would tilt 45 degrees to the direction of the sun?

Okay, I wondered about that. 50 is awesome. Well done.

Its kind of funny, I was really thinking about lifting my trailer and making an off road version but I was planning on towing with my family minivan so I went vintage instead... thanks for the compliments back, hope to see you on or off the road someday.

Speaking of which. I replaced my angled down axle for a straight one and also switched from a spring under to spring over. Bigfoot has always used a leaf spring suspension I think.
I also added a second, 21 gal grey tank, all in the name of off road use.
I was hoping to attend the Ont. Bolerama this year, but no go. I am registered for the later rally in Niagara Falls.

Would love to know what brand of wheels you used. I'm basically doing the same thing as this but with a boler.
