1974 boler restoration (start to finish)

hi everyone as you now i have been playing with bolers for some time now
having competed my mario boler i started to work on another. but that boler is going to take alot more time than i thought to finish so im leaving that boler for a while untill i have more time.
im going to start this one which is alot like the mario boler with fiberglass floors and a descent body that doesent need alot of work. and this way i can be ready for summer.

ok here are some pictures of the boler when i got it to the shop.
being excited i can finaly work on them again i started to break the boler down. first i had the fun job of taking out all the old junk that was left in it (filling up my dumpster) as well as taking all the cabinets and benches out.
on a closer look i found it did not come with the long bench just inside the door (how did i miss that idono)
its a good thing i got a couple spares yaaa.

windows and frame

today i am working on cutting out the windows on both sides as well as cutting the hole bigger for my new fantastic fan.
im also going to attempt to take the shell off the frame (im going to build a new frame that will be better supported and will have two small extensions on ether side for storage and a box for the propane tanks).

we shall see how far i get
i will post pictures again when i am to tired to do more lol

Nice. I'll enjoy watching your resto. Keep us posted.

BTW, interesting suspension. Is that a torsion axle that has springs added?

i think its a old car axle. i dont now much about axles but i will be replacing it. does anyone now which one i should get im unsure on which to use.
i would like to keep to the same size and bolt pattern due to the fact i already bought new rims for it and new tires. its a standard boler 5 bolt ....

windows are out ((damn rivets)this boler is going to be rivet free).
side windows are now cut to the new size
roof vent is also cut to the right size but now i need to build a frame to lift the new fan so the molding on the inside does not stick out.
took out some more garbage and worked in the insolite a little(needs alot of work).

now for the frame
this thing is rusted and bad
it has holes and cracks everywhere in fact when i was sliding it out along the ground the welds in the middle gave and it almost split in half.
good thing im going to build another

here are pictures of it in the air with scary small jack stands on bricks lol

i will be lowering down on a dolly of sorts so i can roll it about the shop and so i can go inside again but i left that at my house (next time).

yes i now i cut the frame in half and its going to scrap
but first i will use it as guidelines for the new and IMPROVED frame one that will support the door and not allow the fiberglass to crack in the top right hand corner like they all do lol.

P.S the little dog her name is Anabelle and she is helping lol

Hi Brayden. Your amazing! Great work. I'm curious as to how you can put the cupboards back in, and rivet free. How do you make it rivet free. Something that I might want to do to ours. Hmmm.
