Here are a few pictures of our newly renovated 1976 Boler 1300, using a Canadian theme (our Canadian Eggstravaganza). We made the eating area into a permanent bed; the opposite end into a dinette which also converts into a bed if needed. Under the right seat is the porta-potty cupboard; under the left side there is plenty of storage. We fitted the clothes closet with plastic storage bins and our clothes are stored under the bed in two long plastic storage containers purchased at Walmart. We also removed the heater and find that the flat top of the wheel well is a good place to store a set of plastic kitchen bowls. Although the propane burners work fine, we have decided to use a two burner electrical appliance to cook our food outside the trailer. We just love this little trailer and look forward to many fun times in it.

We posted a message a couple of days ago describing renovations we made to our 1976 Boler 1300 and indicated we were attaching some pictures. Unfortunately they were too large so we have reformatted them and will try to attach them. We are new to the system so sorry for erroring in our first attempt.

Thanks for making the effort to post those. Not my cup of tea in the decor department BUT some great ideas there. I like the kitchen shelves and how they add room for the oven and most importantly, the coffee maker; the front diner and the curtain across the bedroom ideas.

If you're so inclined, could you please post more detailed photos of the front dinette. It looks like the door-side seat has a cubby for a porta-potty. Could you show more detail of that?

(Where else could you ask for more photos of the lav than on such a helpful site as this!?!?!?!)

Not my cup of tea in the decor department BUT some great ideas there.

>>We are hurt (Just kidding ... ha ha!) that you do not like our decor but, being that we are from New Brunswick, it is our CANADIAN EGGSTRAVAGANZA!

If you're so inclined, could you please post more detailed photos of the front dinette.

>> We did post a description of our changes but we put it in the wrong place and cannot find it to refer to. With respect to the dinette, the area was a bench which converted into bunk beds. As we made the opposite end into a permanent bed we redid the front into a dinette. The right cabinet does in fact house the porta-potty. We lift the cushions and the top to use the potty. The front door opens to remove the potty for cleaning. The left cabinet lid lifts to reveal more storage space. We now have more storage than before. There is a space underneath the dinette area floor which is a great place to store footwear. We will be adding a door to keep things within when traveling.

The table lifts and can be placed between the cabinets to make into another bed.

We are attaching two pictures to give more detail.

150 celebration

love what you have done, photos are great, want to do the front dinette to our Boler, but we just leave the couch down and have a folding table in front when we eat or play cards, scared that I would miss the bunks?? You did a great job.

love what you've done with your place!

I have a few questions about your Boler frame when you converted the couch into that really nifty dinette. What year and style is your Boler? Did the frame have the bar across which meant you had to raise or make a sub-floor(?) before making the dinette? Or, did your Boler have the lower premium frame that didn't interfere and an opening in the middle which would make it easier to do this? If it has the frame going across, how did you make such a lovely dinette area? I was wanting to do this but the guy at the body shop who removed the couch for me, said he couldn't do it because of the frame running across. He put it back together so I still have the couch and not the small dinette I was hoping for.

Barbe, the original post is from 2007 and the poster hasn't logged into the forum since 2010:

I can tell you that if your frame lacks the notch-out in the middle, you just need to make the seats taller so your feet can rest on the raised portion. Some people with the notch-out fill it in and raise the benches anyway for several reasons: (1) better view out the window, (2) offset the table toward the door for easier access to the galley side seat, and (3) fit a porta-potty under one of the seats. That's what Scamp does in its 13' deluxe layout A. Here's a picture from the Scamp website. Note that the table is offset.

When my couch was removed there was a flat metal part of the frame sticking up and running across the base of couch location that I would have had to step over unless a false floor was built on top of it, no cut out. My 72 Boler has a step up to the back dining area (I've converted that into a full time bed and the bench couch fiberglass form in front of the Boler covered that upright part of the frame. The bottom of the floor in front of the dinette was what I needed to see. Thanks anyway.

table

we hardly ever eat in our 13f scamper I took the table out and put a small futon in its place. gives us more storage and a place to change our clothes. rare times we eat in there we use some paper plate holders and paper plates to set on our laps.

I guess everyone to each his own but these small campers are hard to try to household things in!

Love love love what you have done. I am just getting ready to reno my 76 boler and am going to do a front dinette in my 76 boler, it already has the porta potty hole in the middle so just need to take the door off. Did you have to cut into the fiberglass to make your porta potty cupboard by the door? Also can you explain how you attached the table to back wall. In mine it looks like a ledge will be there when I remove the upper bunk. Trying to decide whether to do a front leg or a centre pole that fits into a base in the floor. Want to be able to use the front dinette as a bed like you.
