Hey Mark,

The Burro Stream (or is it Air Burro?) is looking good! What and how did you cover the walls with?

Scott

I used the "Rat Fur" that is used on Scamp trailers. I know, I know, everyone on this forum is always looking for a way to remove this stuff and I am the only one glueing it on.... I like it, and it makes the camper alot more quiet and cozy feeling. Sorry to all of the hardcore Burro people out here, but I like rat fur! LOL

I also wanted to go darker inside and not have the bright white walls, and the tan wall covering will accent the wood work that I am installing and the hardwood flooring. Plus the center headliner looks alot better being seated in another fabric rather than standing alone on the fiberglass. I tested it out both ways prior to putting the "Rat Fur" on the walls and it looked better to me. Tomorrow I am going to start with the cabinet work and also cutting in my sink and stove top into the counter top.

Scott, consider the Ohio Fall Gathering.

Mark

I just looked it is a 10-11 hour drive but I may just come if I am not in Korea, hope that I wont go till early Oct. but depends on the completion schedule.

Consider La Crosse Wi LOL, I think they will have at least 25-30 eggs there.

Then you can have a 10-11 hour drive too!!!

What the heck is in Korea that you would miss camping with me for? LOL! My 7 year old son is back to school, so I am sure I can't make the trip to La Crosse. I was also thinking about the Cherokee NC camp too, but I don't know that I will get Momma to camp in the Burro-stream too much. I spoiled her with our other campers with satellite, king size beds, full bath and Kitchens surround sound and flat screen tv's.... She doesn't seem to eager to stay in the Burro. My son also told me that he wasn't camping in the Burro because there isn't a tv and he wants to sleep in our other camper with the bunk beds. Go figure, I may be camping alone! I guess I could rent 2 spots and bring both campers so that the wife and son can have their own camper.

WOW, I couldn't do it. I had a chance to go to Kuwait after the first war (desert storm) as a pipe fitter. Big cash incentive plus your salary. My butt stayed in Kentucky!

Looks good. I buy and sell RV's for a living, and have had 17 campers at my dads house and 24 at my friends house at one time. I don't have a dealers lot as I do mostly wholesale to dealers and regular people by word of mouth. I currently have 2 pop up campers, a 27 foot bunk house travel trailer, the Burro which is not for sale and a 17 foot hybrid camper at the house now. I know what your wife is telling you right now, because my wife tells me every day...

The past couple of years, I have been buying out dealer inventory due to the economy. I bought a load of Pilgrim campers when they went out of business, and I bought about 15 A-Liners here when the local rv dealer went belly up. I have lucked out and bought several newer Scamps and Casitas that were either bank repo's or on a dealers lot as a trade in when they went out of business. I also buy alot of salvage titled campers. The average camper stays in my possession about 2 weeks before it is sold.

Burro-stream interior

Here are some pictures of the counter top with the stove and sink installed and better pictures of the headliner with lighting and the under counter puck lights.

They took a while to get in. They didn't come with any sort of template, so I had to make my own with only 3/8" of the flange that over lap the counter. Not much room for error. The stove has an easy mounting system, but the sink comes with screws and caps to hide the screws, but where the screws go the counter is cut out. I have to fabricate some sort of bracket to mount it securely. Hopefully I will have the cabinet doors finished in poly tomorrow and mounted by the weekend.
