I did a little practice interior fiberglassing today, actually kind of fun. Have been finding bebes, now I know why! Looks like someone sat in the dinette area and used the front of the trailer for target practice. Some tiny bebe sized holes in the fiberglass, easy patch up, didn't mind too much. I'm worried about the frame (I'm a worry wort), hubby says not to worry, common problem.

Love to see some pics of your guys work!!

Enjoyed "traileruntrashed" and Wembley, thanks, I'll be following your progress! I see you guys kind of have a goal of Sept. for the Riot Fest parking lot, our goal is Jan. for Borrego Springs located in the San Diego desert. I don't know though... we're like a couple of ravens, easily distracted by shiny objects (not to mention just about any festival). I hope we make it, but I hear Vegas calling my name LOL Might need a road trip, sans the little egg.

Ripping floor out! Camper already smells 1000x better!
How is that process going? Looks like the wood is glued to the bottom? Are you then having to chip it out in little chunks?

Trying to anticipate what's in store for our 1981. :-)

Argh, wood floor glued down, NOOO!!!! Please don't tell me our floor is going to be glued down too! LOL Hadn't even thought about that. I won't mention it to hubby, I better go buy some more beer if there's to be "floor chipping." Egg off trailer frame, going to fabricator/welder tomorrow, repairs and reinforcements to be completed. A scary repair job had been done by previous owner. I'll post a photo, if I can figure out how to do that. A BIG THANK YOU to all who posted pics of broken/cracked frames!!! A real eye opener. I was so worried about removing the egg from the trailer frame, turned out to be easy. Goes to show you what I know about trailers

This is maybellene our donor camper. Her guts (electrical converter and guts) work! Light fixtures water pump, everything her works...

It is rotted out! So I traded 10 sets of BDUs and two pairs of boots and ended up this fine lady!

So we are stripping
It out and taking all her siding off and taking to the recycle center and copper.

Ha! We got most of the aluminum off of it the sides and front. Once it cooled off we pulled the rest out and recycle as dirty aluminum

It was fun to burn no joke!

What's involved in taking out a window? I've got a 1972 Burro. I would like to replace the back window with something that opens. And I have a window air conditioner that I would like to remove. But only part of the pane is there...I'm wondering how in the heck do I make the window whole again??

For a casita there is an inner rim inside with screws you take out then rivets on the outside. Get all those out, out comes the window
