1988 Casita Restoration - DONE!
Started this project in May of 2011 and it is done! I saw this 88 Freedom Deluxe Casita rotting away in a field about six years ago and I have asked the owner to sell it to me a couple of times. She finally sold it to me last year. Did a frame off restore, removed the galley, upgraded the axle, filled in some holes and now I have a "mobile man cave."
see more at www.casitarestoration.com
Enjoy

John,
Great job! I love how these FG trailers can be beautifully restored by someone, like yourself, with some (well, actually a lot of) talent. You could never do that with a stick built...
Enjoy camping!
Phil

Great Job, man that was a lot of work. I got tired just looking at all the pics with you working so hard. I take it that you still have the front bath ?

Thanks for the kind words. It was actually pretty fun. To answer the questions; for heat, I use a small electric ceramic heater and the beverages stay in the cooler. No fridge, no galley. Keeps the weight down and keeps it simple. If it cant be cooked on a grill, I am not going to eat it.
