Hi guys and gals,

I just wanted to show off my latest handy work! anyone with a razor knife can pull this one off!

I bought a rug off ebay, then cut it up, and installed it in my trailer. I wanted a nice floor, But it needs to be removable(cause Im rough on stuff)! This is what I came up with! Later this week, the guys at the apostry shop will so a border on it!
Total cost so far? 54 dollars

I looked into that, But I needed to remove the carpet for cleaning! When we spend a week in glamis sand dunes, I will just remove the carpet and shake it out!

We bought a 6x12 piece of end-of-roll of carpet and cut and fit for the floor spaces... only placed fastened is at the metal strip at the door. the remiander we cut to fit all lower cabinets. It acts as a sound deadner, insulation, and shock absorber.

Ryan, great idea! Removable wall to wall.

I like the pattern, too.

Wow! This is really great looking, Ryan! I love the pattern, too!

If anyone wishes to have this done, just call any carpet place, they can likely send you to someone who does this. I pay around $1.50 per linear foot for serging or binding. There's lots of colors.

If I may, Ryan, I'd suggest a thin rubber pad between the floor and your rug to aid against the rug slipping. The pad can be picked up at most Home Depot type stores.

Well done, Ryan!

It's a brave person who is willing to put down WHITE carpet in a trailer!

But a totally retro cool look

Thanks for all the kind words! I got a few more tricks up my sleeve! As for the white carpet in the trailer, I only step on the black squares (lol)

Ryan,
Sort of like "hopscotch" in your Trill?
