Thanks for the info. Fran, your Reno is very impressive and I hope your move goes smoothly and safely from Wa.

I do plan on going to the RV Surplus, too. If I can find a lift mechanism like Fran's, I can give Cheri or whoever wants it my old hardware that is still good. Cheri, if your close to L.A. and want to carpool, let me know. Hope to meet you all soon.

Thanks
May

Compact II renovation 99% complete

Finally work on this trailer is just about done. Definitely a labor of love. I look forward to using it next year.
Here are some photos of her; almost all parts have been replaced or refurbished.
Thanks to all who helped me, and all who inspired me, especially Chuck Hagen who got me started.

Looks great, Fran! It may be too nice to use once you are done.

Hi Bobbie,
I like how it turned out, but won't be fussy about using the trailer... I hope! Kind of like a new car until it gets some dirt on it.
Besides, we are so overdue to get to the parks!

Thanks for your comments, Chuck. Visiting you and seeing what you did to your Compact II helped me so much; it gave me ideas and inspiration. I didn't know where to start, the thing was such a mess. You probably noticed some things I copied from your renovation. The padded doorway was a must; no more bruised foreheads!

Thanks again,
Fran

Thanks, Otter. We will enjoy using it next year.
I did enjoy the work; I huess there's always tweaking and improvements in the future.

Best,
Fran
