75 Trillium Window Replacement (front&back)

I am at a point where I would like to replace my front and back window. Before I take the plunge and attempt to phone around, is there anyone who has done this with success and happy with the outcome. I am in Canada and concerned that I may be limited as to who I can order something like this from?

Any hints or tips, and possibly where I can begin reaching out for prices would be very helpful. Thank you in advance.

What kind of window do you want to replace it with?
I am asking, because for some, (me) the windows that come with your trailer are better then anything available today. So, if you do change them, I would like to buy your windows.
I think you may find it more difficult then you may anticipate. The hole that is left when you remove your window is quite large, and has square corners. Most modern windows use rounded corners and are held in by a rubber seal. To change to this style, you may have to add fibreglass to get the correct shape.
This is all speculation on my part, I have never attempted anything like this.

The emergency hatch on my Trillium back window had been removed, mangled and replaced with plywood. My guess is for an air conditioner.

I was able to get a fine used window unit from Joe at Trillium Outback in Calgary. Might be worth giving him a call if you are looking for a good used unit.

Dave is right that finding a new window to fit the opening would be difficult and you might have to modify the opening to get it in. But I guess that is why they make Sawzalls.

Joe tells me that he is out of the escape hatch units, but would sell the dual jalousie unit for $75. I need one complete assembly with the escape hatch for my green Trillium 1300 (Cantaloupe). I also need just the escape hatch part for my beige Trillium 1300 (Wedding Gift).

I don't think a Sawzall is all that he will need. I think he may need to add fibreglass to make the radiused corners that most available windows have. In fact it would probably be easiest to just glass over the the whole opening, then cut the required hole.

Hello,
I have to agree with David that the stock Trillium
windows are very desirable and should be kept.
However, if I were looking to replace them I would start
by looking at the Hehr line of windows. That company
will fabricate just about anything you might want.
Unfortunately, it looks like most windows available
have radiused corners and would require making a larger
cutout and fabricating a new plywood frame around the
opening to hold the mounting screws = big job. Also,
the cost of such windows would probably be $300 to $500
each (guess). The 7900 series looks like it might fit the
bill. I too, wonder why you want/need to replace the
stock windows?

Looking a Hehr windows I noticed that the 7900 series has
been superceded by the 8700 series.

I stepped away for a bit, now I'm back working on my Trillium... Thanks Larry for the advice... I'm going to keep the windows and prior to putting them back in... I'll take the time to clean them up. (wondering now if painting the aluminium is an option.... to make them look cleaner?)

Good. I'm jealous... I want those windows!

Take a look at dannyh's shiny windows, others have done it too. I wouldn't paint the frames, but make 'em shiny! Old Style Jalousie Windows, Cleaned
