Don't know why such long threads on air conditioner installs. piece wood, 4 u hooks, 4 wingnuts and a 5000 btu air conditioner= cold Trillium. It's that simple

Hey 94 degrees humid and it looks good from inside. It's silly to cut holes make walls and drainage holes to have the AC work poorly. Roof top is the way to go for a clean look but this works great and i just park it next to some trees.

Yes not such a good look. I for one can not sleep in this east coast heat so AC is a must. have to say in the camper now nice and cold I love it. And the AC unit is facing the back of the campsite we are all happy.

I am also considering an A/C install on our 1300 but am not a big fan of the window location.

We had previously removed the propane furnace from our trailer and I am looking at installing a portable A/C unit in the space previously occupied by the furnace. The duct work from the furnace has been retained and I am sure can be modified to retrofit the exhaust hose of an A/C unit.

Researching the dimensions and configuration of various models of portable A/C units is currently underway and any suggestions or tips would be welcome.

Sorry David, the furnace was in such deplorable condition that I sent it to the scrap metal bin at the local landfill. The only parts I retained were the ductwork pieces and the front fascia/grille piece. I plan to re-use the ductwork for my A/C project...probably not going to use the fascia piece so if you or anyone else needs one just let me know where to send it.
