The floor on my newly acquired Burro will need a complete replacement, but that's a next winter project. Scuba diving season is rapidly approaching so a temp fix was needed.
I cut away the rotted floor in front of the door:
Then welded some 1" angle iron "stubs" to the underside of the existing structure, reinforcing the factory welds also:
Then a frame of angle iron, doubled up on the outside:
And a piece of ˝" pressure treated plywood, slathered in undercoating, with a piece of thin luan screwed to it to bring everything level. The luan was also slathered in undercoating on the bottom side and edges. Caulking the old to new wood/fiberglass will get done as weather permits.
