Adding a city water connection

I want to add a city water connection on my '74 scamp. From what I found online it requires a new facet, regulator, and connection to city water. Can it really be that easy? I am hoping so, any advice is much needed. Thanks.

Yes, it really is that easy! You can buy a $5 shore water inlet and use an inline regulator on your hose (about $9) or you can buy a shore water inlet with a built in regulator for about $25 at any RV place.
Installation requires cutting a hole in the side of your Scamp, but the flange on the inlet will cover it.
Whether you need a new faucet, depends on whether you have an onboard water pump or a hand pump. Since you have a 1974, I'm guessing you'll need a separate faucet. A single bar faucet looks and works good and can be bought for under $15.
If you decide to add an onboard water pump then you can use the same faucet with the addition of a check valve in the water line. Some pumps are already eqipped with one. The shorewater connection already has back flow protection.
