You will certainly attract drivers attention. I used those lights in the belly belt for signalling my intentions of braking or turning and running lights.

Just an quick update on the amerigo progress.

We did take it out last week for trip & that was good motivation to tie up some loose ends that kept getting put off (by me!).

With the exception of one of the repaired window push out levers coming off everything else held up well. I'll have to look at those window latches & see if I can come up with a better repair this winter.

I did find some material that was a good match for the lower cushions so I made 2 new dinette seat backs to finish that off. I also got the curtains cut to length & sewn up thanks to my wife. It's amazing how getting those little jobs done can help make the big project feel finished.

Here's a few other interior pics.

Next I need to figure out something for the large back window. The gaucho seat cushion top actually comes up just above the bottom of the window so any curtains wouldn't lay right there. I'll probably look at some pull down shades that can cover the window completely when the gaucho is made into a bed.

SteveV,

WOW! How could I overlook your post for so long? It is BEAUTIFUL! And I know, I've seen pictures of her with her clothes off! What a remarkably gorgeous job!

Camping at last, how super! I'm delighted to hear it! You go!

Have you named it?

BEST
Kai

Thanks Kai!

We plan on doing some trips to enjoy the Fall colors here in NC. I'm sure we'll have a list of things to add/change on the amerigo once we start using it.

I did call it a few names while working on it.....usually after every discovery of more rotted wood. Fortunately that pain has passed, I'm sure we'll come up with a name that's more positive now!

I hear you about names during redo...for a while, I called ours the rolling turd. (You may recall it was brown.) I suppose we were lucky it rolled.

A delight to see yours like this! We've never yet come home without a to-do list; many things are just aesthetic tweaks; some are functionally important. We can't figure it all out perfectly in the driveway.

Have a good weekend! We're off tomorrow for the SAFE; today we go see the cardiologist for Paul.

BEST
Kathleen
