I just ordered an awning from busdepot.com that I plan to use both on our VW Eurovan and our Burro trailer. Unless you have the correct rain gutters, you need to attach the awning with 3 large suction cups. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this type of awning or attachment? It looks like it should work very well as the front entrance to our trailer!

Here's the link to the web site if you would like to take a look at the Ezy-Awning.

Kevin-

We have been looking at these and really thought about it for our Burro. Please let us know how you like it after you get it. Our concern was how well the suction cups would hold up in the wind. Keep us update.

I certainly will! It is due to arrive next week (hopefully) so we can use it on our next trip to Lanesboro, MN for Sept. 8-10.

Hey

I am interested in pictures also......

I have a Kelty Carport large model that I use with my Element...I am going to try it on the Burro this weekend....but this other awning looks reallly cool.....maybe you could add side screens too it and totally enclose it...

Looking at the design the first thing I thought about was making some sort of lower support with pvc to attach the poles to the burro so they are not straight up and down

yeah.. let us know how it works for you.... i wonder if there is any way to use it with an existing 'case' awning on a scamp... something simple to put up would be nice..

The hubby (Kevin) said, on the way to Iowa tonight, that he is surprised I have not piped up.

Are we having "Li"l Jenny" embroidered on it?

We're still waiting for the awning to arrive so that I can post pictures for everyone. UPS tracking shows it arriving on Sept. 12. For this past weekend at Lanesboro, MN, we used a screen house from Wal-Mart and it worked great as an awning and extra room on our Burro. It is high enough that the door opens fine and it kept the rain and bugs out (most of them).

The hubby (Kevin A) had me help put the new awning up yesterday. The suction cups did not stick to the fiberglass. We thought that if we took a step ladder and hooked them higher up, they might work, but we did not try. It did work nicely for the Eurovan.
