Anyone have experience with NU-FOAM vs Foam for seat cushions?

I am looking for an alternative to polyurethane foam due to the VOC's released. We have an infant that will be on-board so we are looking for something else. Ideally, I would like to purchase latex foam but its so expensive. I have found NU-Foam and am curious if it holds up over time. Should I add additional inches to the desired size? Thanks! Tanya
