awning

I've had a number of RV's over the years with the standard roller awnings on them. I have no expirience with bag or case awnings so my question to you is this. I've seen a few pics of the more square FBGS trailers with that type of awnings but has anyone mounted this type on a Casita or Scamp or other round bodied trailers. Looks like it would be doable with some offset mounting brackets to clear the belly band and maybe with Airsteam type arms. I'm not concerned about extra weight or mpg. More to the ease and effort of extending it and rolling it back up in a hurry. I camp mostly in the desert where the wind goes from nothing to 50+ like flipping a light switch.
