I have a 92 Scamp 16' with an A&E Catalina 2500 awning. I need the end cap with part 720012-001. Can't find anywhere so I thought I'd throw this line in the water and see if I get a bite.

I ordered a support for my Catalina 2500 from Dometic last Tuesday. the part arrived on Friday. They clarified which part I needed (and more importantly which ones I didn't need). I plan to call them this week and order the RH end cap - mine is cracked. Nice folks and great service. 800-544-4881 link to parts list: https://www.scamptrailers.com/images..._PartsList.pdf
This is the end cap on right end when you are looking at the front of the awning. Thanks for the information. I think I will try to epoxy the cap back together and, if that doesn't last, buy one from Dometic.
The End Caps can be cracked or broken by improper stowing of the awning.
Tabs on top of each leg are supposed to engage a slot in the end cap to lock everything closed. But a misalignment can force the cap outward and crack it.
If you don't have the directions, get someone to show you haw it works.

If you go to a good hardware store you will find some newer style adhesives made for use on plastics. A lot of plastics are difficult to glue and need a primer put onto the surface before the glue is applied in order to get it to work. But with the correct adhesive you can likely repair it.

a solvent based plastic cement is the best way to glue plastic, but you have to know what sort of plastic it is, and use the correct solvent, and also clamp the pieces quickly and precisely. done right, a solvent cement job is as strong as the original plastic.

Some types of solvent jobs are as strong as the original but many are not.
