boats19, do you realize that Michigan has more shoreline than the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Florida? Did you know that the longest straight line you can draw without touching a body of water anywhere in the State is 7 miles? Pretty amazing state if you like water.

Ah, but we are surrounded by US media. My wife, for some reason, watches Detroit news on cable (after Doctor Phil or some such ). Get WPIX, WGN, KTLA, WSBK etc.

Glenn, I grew up in the Detroit area. We ALWAYS watched our Detroit Red Wings play on CKLW TV 9 out of Windsor, Ontario. Hockey Night in Canada with Don Cherry was the best!

Boats19, get your Scamp soon and meet us at the Algonac Rally in Sep. We have a lot in common. 40 years in the Army, half of it at Selfridge. Sailed all the Great Lakes except Ontario. Fished them too. In fact if you don't have a trailer yet, stop by and look them over.

Sorry you missed them all, I was on the USCG Macinaw (WAGB-83) under Capt Arnold Litiken... we got all 5 of the Great Lakes in one year... Tom I would love to see you at Algonac! As a river controller at the Soo, I will recognize many of the lakes fleet.

You can find out more here boats19:

http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ble-67391.html

It was a lot of fun. There were more than a few people that came to look and ask questions. The people that attend are proud of their trailers and love to show them off. I hope to see you there.

Battery box q

Dave,
I know this post is very late, but just in case you are still working on this mod, here are my measurements.
  • Front angle iron bar = 30 1/2" from front of hitch.
  • Rear angle iron bar = 37" from front of hitch.
