Hi Rick: I've beengoing over some of your previous posts and noticed that you said window slider felts are on order. Where did you order them and what about the other window pieces, like plastic guides etc.???

Sid

Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it I was only able to find the felt/rubber sliders for the sliding windows I was unable to track down the rubbers for the back and front windows so had to go with silicone .

The felt/rubber sliders are from a company called Martin cab. They were a bit on the expensive side but worth it when you see how well they seal and slide.

You have to go to the website and click on products then pick the non electrical option.

Link: Martin Cab

You'll probably have to e-mail them a picture of your felt/rubber slider or go through a local forklift dealer to acquire the parts.

Good luck,

Rick.

Moving right along.

A friend set us up with some high density 4" foam used for making furniture, that was great because when I priced out something similar it was around $800.00 so big score.

We will be attending the Niagara get together this weekend so we'll get to see how comfy the foam is to sleep on LOL.

Talking Found a great piece I'll be adding to my Beachcomber this summer.

Seen it whilst surfing the net and knew it was for me.

Fastway flip jackfoot.

The video is pretty good

Has anyone tried these out?

Talking I know it's been a while

But I have made a little progress and I got to make use of it on a recent EggFest in Kingston Ontario Canada.

My new Mod is an updated hitch on my trailer, I cut the old scary one with the horse shoe latch with no way to lock it one off and installed a new modern latch and lock one.

Just bolted for now but will be permanently welded today with any luck.

I'll attach pictures of old and new so you can have a visual of the mod.

Black is old, Silver is new.

Please dish on where you got the rear lights? Are they they large brake lights?

Our poor trailer got as far as a new vent a few other cosmetic touches and then we had to get our house sorted so it as been in storage waiting for us.

I really need a new belly band too but I can't find one anywhere.

I though something else must have gotten in the way of the BeachComber rebuild Nice to hear you're back at it.
The rear lights are from Princess Auto, they're the jeep style and work pretty good but I've found better ones I like at an RV dealer so I'm going to put them on the other BeachComber I'm rebuilding. As for the belly band just keep looking on kijiji in your area I'm sure one will pop up sooner or later.

Cheers, Rick.

No not completely done, had some things get in the way of completion.
However it is very usable in it's current state and as luck and time would have it I have picked up a new style furnace with the thermostat and wire harness for installation as time permits.

When I get some time in the next couple of days I'll post more on the progress.

Rick.
